My name is Rocky. I have been with Lifeline for a while, probably because my foster mom felt over-protective of me because I am blind. She thought I would possibly be frightened leaving the confines of my comfy foster home and going to adoption events. It is time for me to find a home, so I am seeking that special person who doesn't have an issue with my disability.
I think the first thing I should say about myself is that despite being blind, I manage successfully to get around just like all the other cats. I certainly wasn't going to miss out on anything going on in the house! I was born blind, and really never knew any other way, so I just pushed forward. Occasionally you will see me walk into something, like when my foster mom leaves the vacuum in the middle of the hallway; but, the best part is I bounce right back and get on course. I have learned to use my other senses, so when I am called I just follow the sound of the voice and zoom right to that lap where I love to stay and purr!!!! I play with the other cats in the house, too, and I don't skip a beat chasing and rolling around. I'’m not even afraid of the 65lb dog in the house!!! I have three floors in the house to traverse, and I do them with ease. My foster mom gave me the perfect name, because I am a fighter.
I am looking for a forever home from someone who doesn't mind a friend that will stay with them wherever they are so that I can be petted and kissed. Trust me, I’m awesome!!!!
